Who this notice covers
This privacy notice applies when you browse AuctionMySite, create or use an account, value a website, submit or view a listing, request confidential access, bid, communicate through the marketplace, complete verification, or take part in a sale or purchase.
Auction My Limited, company number 17473925, registered in England and Wales, operates AuctionMySite and is the data controller responsible for deciding how personal information is used for the operation of the marketplace. Its registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. You can contact us through our contact page with privacy questions or requests.
Website valuation calculator
When you use the free website valuation calculator, we record the figures and selections you enter together with the indicative valuation produced. This helps us understand how the calculator is used, measure campaigns and improve AuctionMySite.
Currency, monthly revenue, monthly profit, monthly visits, business model, site age, growth trend, concentration risk, transferability, the indicative low, midpoint and high values, and the calculation version used.
If the page was reached through a tagged link, we may record UTM source, medium and campaign values. We may also record the referring page supplied by the browser.
You do not need to provide your name or email to use the calculator. If you are already signed in, the valuation may also be linked to your AuctionMySite account identifier.
Calculator inputs are seller-entered and are not treated as verified marketplace evidence. The result is indicative only and is not a formal valuation, appraisal or guarantee of sale price.

Why we use information
Legal bases
Depending on the activity, our lawful basis may include performing a contract with you or taking steps at your request, complying with a legal obligation, pursuing legitimate interests in operating and protecting the marketplace, or your consent where consent is required.
For account, listing, bidding, transaction and other services you ask AuctionMySite to provide.
For service improvement, fraud prevention, marketplace security, moderation, campaign measurement and understanding use of features such as the valuation calculator, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
Where records or disclosures are required for legal, regulatory, tax, fraud-prevention or dispute purposes.
Where we specifically ask for consent, including certain marketing communications or optional uses where consent is the appropriate basis.
Sharing information
Information may be shared with providers that support hosting, authentication, database storage, security, email, address lookup, identity or business verification, payment processing, escrow and other services required to operate AuctionMySite.
We only share information that is reasonably needed for the relevant service. Verification-provider references and underlying seller evidence are not displayed publicly. Public listing pages show only the information intended for marketplace publication.
Information may also be disclosed where required by law, to establish or defend legal rights, or to protect users, AuctionMySite or the integrity of the marketplace.
International processing
AuctionMySite may use service providers with infrastructure or personnel in other countries. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we take steps intended to ensure that an appropriate legal transfer mechanism or safeguard applies where required.
The location of processing can change as service providers update their infrastructure, so this notice describes the approach rather than promising that all information will always remain in one country.
Retention
Retention depends on the type of information and why it is needed. Routine service data may be deleted or anonymised when it is no longer useful or required.
We may retain transaction, payment, verification, fraud, dispute, moderation, tax, legal and audit records for longer where they are reasonably needed to protect the marketplace, comply with obligations, resolve disputes or establish a record of completed transactions.
Closing an account does not necessarily result in immediate deletion of every record. Active disputes, unpaid fees, incomplete transactions, fraud-prevention requirements and legal retention duties may require some information to be kept.
Marketing
We may send service messages that are necessary for your account, listings, bids, verification, transaction, security, support requests or other activity you have asked us to provide.
Marketing communications are handled separately. Where consent is required, we will ask for it. You can unsubscribe from marketing communications using the method provided in the message or by contacting us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop necessary service messages.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to ask for access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to certain processing, data portability, or withdrawal of consent where processing relies on consent.
These rights are not absolute and may be limited where we need to retain information for legal, transaction, fraud-prevention, dispute or other legitimate reasons.
Contact Auction My Limited through the AuctionMySite contact page and tell us that your message relates to privacy or personal information. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
