AuctionMySite Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files stored on a computer, phone or other device when a website is used. Similar technologies can also store or access information on a device.

AuctionMySite currently uses essential authentication and security technologies so that users can sign in securely and protected forms can be defended against automated abuse.

When you sign in, AuctionMySite sets an essential first-party session cookie named auctionmysite_session.

This cookie keeps your authenticated AuctionMySite session available as you move between protected pages. Without it, signed-in account and marketplace features cannot operate as requested.

AuctionMySite uses Cloudflare Turnstile on protected actions such as sign-in and password recovery. Turnstile helps distinguish legitimate users from automated or abusive traffic.

The standard Turnstile process provides the browser with a short-lived challenge token which AuctionMySite validates with Cloudflare on the server. As part of that validation, AuctionMySite may send the visitor's IP address to Cloudflare when it is available.

Cloudflare may use necessary browser storage, security signals or cookies as part of its anti-abuse systems. Turnstile's optional pre-clearance mode can also issue a cf_clearance security cookie if that feature is enabled for the site. Any such security technology is used for fraud prevention, bot detection and service protection rather than advertising.

Cloudflare operates under its own privacy and security documentation in addition to AuctionMySite's Privacy Notice.

AuctionMySite does not currently intentionally set non-essential analytics, advertising or behavioural marketing cookies.

If AuctionMySite introduces non-essential cookies or similar technologies in future, this policy will be updated and an appropriate consent mechanism will be used before those technologies are activated where consent is required.

UK cookie rules allow certain storage or access technologies to operate without prior consent where they are strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the user or to provide proportionate security for that service.

AuctionMySite therefore does not ask users to opt in to the essential session and security technologies described above. We still explain them here so users can understand what is being used and why.

Most browsers allow you to inspect, block or delete cookies. Blocking an essential AuctionMySite authentication or security cookie may prevent sign-in or other protected features from working correctly.

Browser settings vary, so refer to the help information for your browser or device if you want to manage stored cookies.

AuctionMySite may update this Cookie Policy when the website, providers or legal requirements change. The latest version and update date will be published on this page.

If a future change introduces cookies or similar technologies that require consent, AuctionMySite will not rely on acceptance of the Marketplace Terms or Privacy Notice as a substitute for that cookie consent.
